SAMMELAN: Sammelan was held on 4.8.16 @ 11AM in the Conference Hall of SP Office, Lunglei. The Sammelan was conducted by Pu.Zosangliana, MPS, SP(L) and was attended by all available police personnel of Lunglei. The Superintendent of Police in his speech encouraged police personnel to abide by the principles of dedication, integrity and commitment in the discharge of duties. Various matters concerning the welfare of the police, problems and measures to address such problems were put forward in the meeting.

CALL RESPONSE(PCR) VAN:
Public
Call Response (PCR) Van was introduced on dt.3.8.2016 at Lunglei Police Station
with the objective of bringing the police more closer to the public. Equipped
with W/T Set, Handcuff, Lathi, Search Light, etc it is entrusted to perform the
following tasks:
1. To
keep patrolling all through the day and night in Lunglei Town.
2. Not
to remain stationery at any place/point for long.
3. To
assist Traffic Police in regulation of Traffic movement.
4. To
help road accident Victims.
5. To
respond to any call or situation immediately.
- KICK
OFF PROGRAMME ON FIGHT AGAINST NARCOTIC DRUGS & PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES:
Mizoram
Government (Police, Excise & Narcotics Deptt.) and YMA, as a mark of its
collective commitment to jointly fight against illegal drugs organized a kick
off programmeon 5.8.16 at YMA Sub Hqtrs Conference Hall, Lunglei. The progarmme
was chaired by Pu.R.Lalnunthara, President, YMA Sub-Hdqtrs., Lunglei and Pu.Abhijit
Vijay Chaudhari, IAS, DC Lunglei kicked off the programme. Pu Zosangliana, MPS,
SP (L) and Pu Lalhmingthanga, Superintendent of Excise & Narcotics Dept.Lunglei
delivered speeches highlighting the scenario of drugs abuse in Mizoram.
- ‘Training cum Awareness Programme of Youth of Lunglei District for Entry into Armed Forces/ Para-military ‘will be organized at Saikuti Hall, Lunglei on 9.10.2015 @10 AM. Senior Officers from 28th Bn Assam Rifles and 162nd Bn BSF will give training on various important aspects of entry into Armed Forces. All interested persons are welcome in the training.
- ‘2 (Two) Days Training course on Special Laws Module (ND & PS Act and MLPC Act) was conducted by Superintendent of Police, Lunglei on 29th – 30th September 2015 @ SP Office Conference Hall. 12 investigating officers of Lunglei DEF attended the training. The resource persons were

- Pu _, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Mizoram, visited Lunglei on dt.2.10.2015. He attended a seminar on ‘ Hla Mawi Kutpui: Mizo Literature-a Serkawn Concert Pawimawhna’ jointly organized by Pachhunga University College, Mizo Department & Government J.Buana College, Lunglei @ Saikuti Hall, Lunglei on 2.10.2015. He halted the night at Circuit House, Lunglei and left Lunglei for Aizawl on 3.10.2015.
